Concrete: is a manufactured mixture of cement and water, with aggregates of sand and stones, which hardens rapidly by chemical combination to a stonelike, water-and-fire-resisting solid of great compressive but low tensile strength.
Reinforced concrete
Airplane hangars for the Italian Air Force at Orvieto, Italy.
Pre-cast concrete
Prestressed concrete
Bridge over Maracaibo´s Lake, Venezuela.
Concrete-shell L'Oceanogràfic at Valencia, Spain.
What is the difference between tiltwall construction, tilt-up panel construction and pre-cast concrete construction?
The principal difference between tiltup, tiltwall and precast concrete is their fabrication place; the precast concrete forms are poured indoors, this activity can take place regardless the weather conditions, but the pieces needs to be transported to the building place while tiltup and tiltwall construction use elements which are created by assembling forms and pouring large slabs of concrete called panels directly at the job site, no transportation of panels is required.
